5 Charity Events Around Las Vegas, NV

With the hustle of busy lives, its time consuming to volunteer or get involved in a charity event, but it can be so worthwhile. Volunteering offers crucial help to people in need, worthwhile causes, and the community, and benefits the volunteer. Helping others connects you with new people, can teach new skills, and even reduce stress. Giving in simple ways can help those in need and may improve your health and happiness. De Castroverde & Immigration Lawyers found five charity events or volunteering opportunities around Las Vegas.

The Animal Foundation Las Vegas Animal Volunteers

The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas appreciates volunteers that give their hearts, time, talents, and support to help impact the lives of animals in need. Its volunteer program helps find opportunities that excite and inspire you and match your unique talent. Every day at the animal shelter is different, and each donation or hour of volunteer support changes an animal’s life for the better. Adults apply to volunteer long-term by watching a new volunteer orientation video, filling out an application, and completing the fear-free shelter’s mandatory training.

Volunteer tasks include doing laundry so that each animal gets fresh linens daily and walking dogs for their mental and physical health. Other ways to volunteer include deep cleaning kennels so new animals can live in a clean environment, socializing timid animals, supporting the enrichment team by training dogs, or helping at special events. Reading to animals helps reduce the fear, stress, and anxiety of finding themselves in a shelter. Children between the ages of six and 17 years old, accompanied by their parents, can commit to long-term volunteering reading slots.

Helping hands need senior social butterflies to sit with seniors, help with games, talk with them, and serve dinner. Volunteers can bring their children along to join in the fun.

This charity also requires non-medical social services for seniors, such as pantry deliveries, rides to doctors, help with grocery shopping, and general errands. Volunteers receive comprehensive training and insurance coverage. Homebound seniors need your service.
